Meeting of tourist guides


»Tourist guides are a significant link in the chain of tourism economics. We provide tours around Slovenia and travel with Slovenian tourists abroad, where we act as kind of ambassadors of tourist agencies and also of the individual country through which we travel. The Alps-Adriatic region is of key importance for us – we work here often and thus know it very well. However, we do not know our foreign colleagues and their way of work. That is why the idea arose to organise the 1st International Meeting of Tourist Guides of the Alps-Adriatic region. This could enable us to present the offer of Slovenia and the new concept of the Alpe-Adria Fair to the potential participants, i.e. tourist guides, and at the same time, such a meeting would give us an opportunity to discuss current events and ideas on joint cooperation. In this manner, our meeting could also be a kind of promotion to attract even greater number of service providers from the entire Alps-Adriatic region.”
