United in Tourism
Slovenian travel journalists, united in the Association of Travel Journalists FIJET Slovenia, which is a member of the World Federation of Travel Journalists and Writers FIJET, decided to organize the first meeting of travel journalists from the Alps-Adriatic region in honour of the 30th anniversary of fair Alpe-Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show, which takes place at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, and of the 20th anniversary of Slovenian independence. The initiative was immediately supported by the organizers of the fair “Alpe-Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show”, the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre Ljubljana, Ljubljana Tourism and the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB). The main topic of the fair, for which the organizers hope it will become the main tourism fair in the Alps-Adriatic region, will be cuisine, the most distinctive feature of all members of the Alps-Adriatic Working Community as regards diversity and quality.
