Travel Zoom Focus professional Conference on Strategic and Creative Marketing in Tourism within the Alpe-Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show.
At the 2012 Fair, the Travel Zoom Conference again answered questions on how to strengthen a trademark, enhance your business’s reputation and create financial success. The Conference was based on in-depth educational contents as well as on actual examples of tourist marketing campaigns from Slovenia and abroad.
At the Alpe-Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show 2011, we learned from the best. The plenary keynote lecture was given by Prof. Dr. Peter Keller, the long-standing Director for Tourism at the Swiss Government and President of the OECD Tourism Committee that is considered to be one of the leading tourist experts in Europe. The subject of his lecture at the Conference was the innovation of tourist marketing.
"Whether we like it or not, whether we are ready or not, marketing in tourism has changed dramatically.
New media and consumers have become demanding and inventive. False statements and promises are exposed at the first visit of a disappointed guest, who gladly shares his/her experience via web reviews and blogs. Consequently, the integration of various tools, such as a suitable marketing strategy, creative strategy of a trademark development, marketing campaigns, addressing the right target public via the right channels with the right message, are today more significant than ever before. The task of those employed in the tourism industry, the creative industry, and of the academics is to establish the right directions, to bridge gaps, and to design creative and marketing campaigns, which will bring E results.
The mission of the Travel Zoom Conference is connecting, transferring the knowledge and knowhow, and particularly the bridging of gaps among all of those, who in one way or another daily deal with the marketing challenges of the tourism industry.
